Spanning four generations, the Fredatovich family have provided a backbone for not only the local wine industry over the past half century, but also in the wider community.
Lincoln was started in 1937 by pioneering winemaker Petar Fredatovich. He had a vision of providing quality wine to meet the needs of the early settlers in New Zealand. His vision has grown with the Generations that have followed him.
His son Peter Dick Fredatovich, paved the way for table wines to be readily accepted by the New Zealand consumer. In a time of growing interest in New Zealand Wine, Peter was able to refine his style and work with other producers in the local community to make West Auckland the major wine producing region of the time. Peter has been honoured for his efforts with an MBE.
Peter Michael Fredatovich follows in the vision of his forefathers. Taking the helms of Lincoln from his father, Peter was set to experience phenomenal growth in the local wine industry.
The accolades and success that New Zealand has received for their wines has made them one of the most sought after wines in the world. Lincoln has expanded internationally on this success and continues to thrive under PeterŐs passion for doing what is in his blood.
His son, Peter Stephen Fredatovich, carries on the tradition, invigorating the values of a family owned company.
Peter looks forward to continued international success and thriving in a modern era where the quality of the wines and the strong Heritage of his family combine to ensure Lincoln will always be at the pinnacle of international wine production.
